There are several shops and restaurants to enjoy. ATTENTION BIKERS: (ding-ding, not vroom-vroom) This beautiful suburb offers an extensive bike trail system so you can pedal to your heart’s content. Base-ballers :: Kane County Cougars provides an affordable option to go catch a baseball game. Other perks include a Metra station to sweep you to Chicago. Tom Hanks, Jude Law, and Paul Newman also graced Geneva with their presence while filming The Road to Perdition. If Tom Hanks was there, you know it has to be fancy!
Glen Ellyn

With a smaller population and a brush with fame, Glen Ellyn made our list for all of its special qualities. Glenbard West High School gained the spotlight when it was used as the setting of Winona Ryder’s first movie, Lucas! We can just feel the magic in the air. Charlie Sheen was also in the movie, but we don’t talk about that anymore.
This village also offers beautiful Lake Ellyn, where we are actually volunteering this year to keep it beautiful for future residents! Enough about how awesome GE is, what can this haven do for you? Glad you asked! Glen Ellyn offers a train to Chi Town via the Union Pacific West line. There is also an annual Backyard BBQ in September to tempt your tastebuds with DE-LISH BBQ and sweet, sweet blues.
